Duties
and responsibilities:
|
|||||||
Assigned
as “Senior E&I
construction Engineer” and responsible for the following:
|
|||||||
Ø Review and monitor construction schedule and
manpower forecasts and issue
Ø Check
that necessary Project Contractor's manpower, temporary housing, Construction
equipment and bulk materials are available at site when needed.
Ø Check that equipment and material received at
site are properly stored and Protected by Project Contractor.
Ø Ensure that Contractor maintains adequate field
material control systems and procedures. Check that Contractor issues
Material Receiving Reports, Material Shortage and Damage Reports on a timely
basis.
Ø Monitor and "punch" the work performed
by Contractor, Project Contractor and its subcontractors, and monitor same
for quality and compliance with Contract and construction schedule. Ensure
Contractor's compliance with drawings and specifications.
Ø Ensure that the Project Contractor prepares and
issues relevant marked-up "as-built" drawings before Contractor
leaves site to be issued in the final form by Contractor.
Ø Review and approve jobsite rules and safety
procedures. Review and approve first aid equipment, and personnel and
emergency evacuation procedures.
Ø Approve Project Contractor's physical progress
reports approved by the Contractor on the basis of which progress payments
will be effected.
Ø Evaluate Project Contractor's field claims for
contract extras and/or schedule extensions submitted by Contractor with his
recommendation to approve/reject or modify, as the case may be.
Ø Attend Project Contractor weekly and monthly
construction progress meetings. Review manpower forecasts and weekly force
and equipment reports.
Ø Installation & Pre-Commissioning of all field
instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level and Analyzers instruments), all types
such as radar, ultrasonic, magnetic capillary vortex, tank gauging, etc.
Ø Installation of cable Tray routing as knowledge
of cable schedules, Junction box wiring Drawings and loop Diagram.
Ø
Installation of PLC/DCS/Marshalling panels and Field
Junction box.
Ø
Participate/Verify the
look-ahead schedule and identify work priorities
Ø
Coordination with vendor,
Contractor, and the client the drawings problems and the suggestions to
overcome these problems.
Ø
Project planning updating of activities, manpower handling,
and material management co-ordination with client, reporting.
Ø Ensure that all construction activities meet
environment and HSE standards applicable at site.

project runs to schedule and to budget, managing programs of work, and
finding solutions to problems that may cause delays, such as the late arrival
of materials.
Ø Playing a major
role in pre-site and on-site meetings with a range of professionals who work
to ensure a building contract is successful, including quantity surveyors,
contract administrators, site foremen, subcontractors, and the client who has
commissioned the work.
Ø Maintaining strict
quality control procedures - this necessitates regular testing of materials,
visual inspections of work.
Ø Conducting regular
site safety checks.
